Full Breakdown

Mobile City Code § 61-278 targets vehicles that are at least twenty feet long and eight feet tall, or at least twenty-five feet long regardless of height. Except in an emergency, these large vehicles can't be parked on any street in a block with a fire station, within twenty feet of an intersecting street's property line, or, on property zoned R-1, R-2, or R-3, for longer than four consecutive hours. The four-hour cap doesn't apply while the vehicle is being constantly loaded or unloaded. A violation carries a $70 fine under the parking-offense schedule in Sec. 61-284.

Violations & Fines

Leaving a large vehicle parked over four hours on an R-1, R-2, or R-3 street, or near a fire station, is a $70 fine under Sec. 61-284.
