City Code Chapter 58 prohibits overnight parking of commercial vehicles rated over 1 ton (approximately 10,000 lbs GVWR) in all residential zoning districts. Service vehicles, box trucks, dump trucks, semi-trailers, and commercial equipment cannot be stored at homes. Vehicles with exterior commercial lettering or equipment racks are also restricted. Temporary parking for active service calls is permitted during business hours. Commercial vehicles must be stored at business premises or approved commercial storage facilities.
First offense: written warning with 48-hour cure period. Subsequent: $150 per night. Repeat offenders: $500 plus towing at owner expense.
