Dunedin regulates residential driveway and front-yard parking through Land Development Code Section 105-31.13 (Drives and Access Ways) and Section 105-27.1.1.1 (Site Standards).
Section 105-31.13 requires residential driveways to meet city design standards for width, surface, and location. Vehicles must be parked on approved driveway surfaces, not on lawns or unimproved areas in the front yard. Per Section 105-27.1.1.1, recreational vehicles, boats, trailers, and oversized commercial vehicles are prohibited in the front yard. Vehicles exceeding 22 feet in length or 8 feet in width may not park on a residential street or right-of-way except during loading or unloading. Driveway expansions and material changes typically require a permit through the building department.
Notices of violation are issued by Code Enforcement. Repeat or unresolved violations result in daily fines through the City's special magistrate.
