Largo requires residential vehicles to be parked on improved driveway surfaces, prohibits oversized vehicles in front building setbacks, and limits storage of inoperable vehicles outside enclosed structures.
Largo Code of Ordinances Chapter 11, Article III restricts what may sit forward of the residential building line. Recreational vehicles, boats, hauling trailers, semitrailer trucks, and commercial vehicles cannot occupy the front setback or right-of-way except for short loading windows. Front-yard recreational units must rest on a paved or otherwise improved surface, never grass or dirt. Inoperable or unlicensed vehicles must be kept inside a fully enclosed structure such as a garage. Standard passenger vehicles registered to occupants are generally permitted on improved driveway surfaces, and one light commercial pickup or van under 11,000 pounds is allowed at single-family, duplex, and triplex properties.
Community Standards issues a notice of violation; uncorrected violations move to the Code Enforcement Board, which may impose fines under Chapter 162, Florida Statutes.
