New Orleans Sec. 154-923(a)(2) bars parking in front of or within 3 feet of any driveway, with no sign needed. Block a driveway and your vehicle is likely to be ticketed (~$40) and towed.
Under Sec. 154-923(a)(2), you may not stop or park a vehicle in front of, or within 3 feet of, the curb return of a driveway unless you have the owner's permission. The rule requires no posted sign, so enforcement can occur without warning, and blocking a driveway is one of the offenses most likely to result in a tow. The clearance protects both public and private driveways. Parking across your own driveway apron over the sidewalk is separately barred by the sidewalk prohibition in Sec. 154-923(a)(1).
Parking within 3 feet of a driveway is about $40 and highly towable; the sidewalk portion of a driveway apron carries its own ~$40 sidewalk-parking fine.
