The City-Parish traffic code (Ch. 154) has no dedicated recreational-vehicle, boat-trailer or house-trailer street-parking section. Instead, RVs, campers, boat trailers and utility trailers are treated as vehicles under the general parking rules: Sec. 154-881 bars parking any vehicle on a street longer than 24 consecutive hours, and Sec. 154-923 bans blocking sidewalks, driveways, corners and hydrants regardless of vehicle type. In Residential Permit Parking zones a non-permit RV or trailer may not exceed the 2-hour limit. Long-term storage belongs on private property; zoning (CZO) governs where large vehicles may be kept on a lot.
A vehicle, RV or trailer left over 24 hours is ticketed (about $20, doubling every 30 days unpaid) and may be towed to the 400 N. Claiborne impound lot.
