2808(a) starts from a general prohibition: in any residential district, no required yard space may be used to park or store motor vehicles, automobiles, house cars, buses, campers, camper shells, trailer coaches, trailers, semitrailers, trucks, truck tractors, tractors, motorcycles, boats, or any inoperable vehicle, except as the section itself allows. Subsection (b) then carves out the driveway and garage apron specifically: automobiles, campers, trucks, motorcycles, and one house car may be parked there if five conditions are met together. The vehicle cannot overhang or protrude into the public right-of-way, cannot obstruct or restrict sight distance at an intersection in a way that harms public safety, must be operable and fully licensed under the state Vehicle Code, cannot be used for living, sleeping, or housekeeping with utilities connected, and must belong to the property's occupant or a visiting guest.

Subsection (c) separately allows one unoccupied vehicle, house car, camper, trailer, truck, motorcycle, or boat to be stored behind the front setback line under similar no-habitation conditions, with a three-foot clearance required if it sits in the side yard, and it must be screened by a sight-obscuring fence at least six feet tall. Subsection (d) permits short-term loading and unloading on the apron or driveway, capped at 72 hours within any seven-day period, without triggering the storage restrictions.
