Full Breakdown
Saratoga County Code § 325-5 prohibits parking in County-owned or County-leased lots between 12:00 midnight and 6:00 a.m. every night from November 1 through May 1. The Public Works Department posts signs at each lot under § 325-6, and the Sheriff or other municipal police may ticket or tow a vehicle found in violation under § 325-7, at the owner's risk and expense. The restriction reaches only the county-owned and leased areas listed in § 325-3, the Ballston Spa, Milton, and Saratoga Springs county lots, the airport, jail, and Public Safety Building, not public streets generally.
Violations & Fines
Violating the winter lot ban is punishable by a fine up to $50 under § 325-8.1, and the Sheriff may tow the vehicle at the owner's expense under § 325-7.
