Mahwah Township Ordinance 7-3.3 prohibits overnight parking on any roadway between midnight and 6:00 a.m. from November 15 through April 15 to keep streets clear for snow plowing and salting.
Section 7-3.3 of the Mahwah Code bans on-street parking between 12:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. each year from November 15 through April 15. The Township Police Department may grant a temporary waiver of up to 48 nonconsecutive hours when the parking will not interfere with health, safety, traffic flow, or leaf and snow removal. Warnings may be issued first, but summonses are issued during active plowing operations.
Vehicles left on roadways during the winter overnight ban may receive a warning, a parking ticket, or be towed if they obstruct snow plowing operations.
