Santee Municipal Code § 10.10.245, titled "Prohibition of use of streets for storage," is a standing citywide rule rather than a signed zone restriction. Subsection A makes it unlawful for anyone who owns, possesses, or controls a vehicle to park it on any street or alley in Santee for more than 72 consecutive hours; this applies to ordinary passenger cars and trucks and is separate from the tighter same-location rule for recreational vehicles and utility trailers in subsection B. Subsection F cuts that window sharply for a vehicle that no longer runs: an inoperable vehicle left standing on any street for more than 12 consecutive hours is itself a violation, independent of the 72-hour clock.

Subsection H gives the City broad enforcement latitude, allowing violations of the section to be pursued by any means set out in Title 1's general penalty and administrative-citation provisions or elsewhere in Chapter 10.10, including citation under § 10.10.360 and towing or impoundment under § 10.10.350. Because the rule is not tied to signage, code compliance staff and Sheriff's Santee Station deputies document elapsed time using tire chalking, photographs, or similar methods before issuing a citation.
