030(A)(23)(q)(10) of the Zoning Order lists recreational-vehicle and boat storage as a permitted accessory use: 'Storage of not more than one (1) of each of the following types of accessory vehicles shall be allowed within required front, side or rear setback spaces, provided they are located upon a hard surface as defined in the regulations of this Zoning Order. ' A household may keep one of each category, a boat, a boat trailer, a camping trailer and a motorized camping unit, simultaneously, but not more than one of any single type, and each has to sit on the hard surface the Zoning Order defines rather than bare ground or grass.

' So while a personal camper or boat trailer can sit in the setback indefinitely if it's on a hard surface, a heavy commercial vehicle or bus cannot be stored outdoors on a residential lot for more than thirty days. 030(A)(22): notice from the Zoning Enforcement Officer, a ten-day correction window or Compliance Action Plan application, and Circuit Court referral with fines up to $1,000 per day for what remains uncorrected.
