" Three limits apply. First, none of this equipment may be used "for living, sleeping or other occupancy when parked or stored on a residential lot or in any other location not approved for such occupancy use," so a camper or houseboat cannot double as a guest room or overflow bedroom. Second, any unit that stands six feet or more in average height and is not kept inside a garage, carport or other structure cannot be located in a required front or side yard, and must sit at least three feet from all buildings even in locations where it is allowed.

Third, the section separately caps outdoor storage or overnight parking of buses, trucks or other vehicles exceeding one and one-half ton capacity: those are barred from residential districts entirely on lots smaller than two acres. A rear yard is the only location the ordinance leaves open to taller RVs and boats that are not housed in a garage or carport, and the three-foot building clearance still applies there. Planning and GIS Services enforces these placement rules alongside the county's separate inoperable-vehicle limit, which caps outdoor storage to one non-operating vehicle per residential or agricultural lot.
