Full Breakdown
City code makes it unlawful to park or leave parked a motor vehicle, large motor vehicle (including RVs), farm equipment, construction vehicle, boat, personal watercraft, or trailer of any kind at any time in the front or side yard of a single-family residential zoning district. The front-yard exception requires all wheels to sit on a permanently maintained, curb-to-driveway paved surface built to Development Code standards; the side-yard exception requires a six-foot opaque fence screening the vehicle from the right-of-way. On-street, large vehicles, travel trailers, personal watercraft, and boats cannot be left on a public street in a single-family district for more than 24 hours.
Violations & Fines
Marshals department, environmental health, and planning and development services staff enforce the division; violations are Class C misdemeanor citations under the general penalty provisions of the Code of Ordinances.
