Santa Cruz §10.40.050(a) prohibits parking any vehicle on a city street or alley for more than 72 consecutive hours.
The rule applies to all vehicles regardless of registration status. Citation generally requires the same vehicle to remain in the same location for the full 72-hour period. Repeated 'moves' that don't actually change the parking location can be cited. Vehicles may be marked and towed under CVC §22651(k). Permit parking districts (citywide permits under §10.41) override this rule in designated areas. Fleet-vehicle storage is separately barred under §10.40.050(b).
Fines by council resolution. Tow authority under CVC §22651(k) after 72 hours.
