Santa Cruz §10.40.115 prohibits parking any commercial vehicle with a manufacturer's gross vehicle weight rating of 10,000 pounds or more in any residential district.
The ban does not apply to commercial vehicles actively picking up or delivering goods to a building in a residential district, or delivering materials to a permitted construction site. Residential district definitions follow §24.22.654. Fleet operators are separately barred under §10.40.050(b) from using city streets to store three or more business vehicles when not in active use.
Fines set by city council resolution. Vehicles may be towed under CVC towing authority. Fleet violations also chargeable.
