Yonkers City Code Chapter 103 Article II (Snow and Ice Removal) requires every owner of any house, other building, or vacant lot to clear sidewalks for the full width within 6 hours after daytime snowfall ends, or by 12:00 noon the day after nighttime snowfall. Owners abutting fire hydrants must clear a 3-foot area measured from the hydrant center line. Throwing snow into streets, gutters, or onto fire hydrants is unlawful.
