Summary

Indio bars standing in any roadway to solicit a ride, employment, business, or contributions from vehicle occupants, or to solicit car-watching services: a targeted roadway-panhandling restriction under § 70.161.

No person shall stand in any roadway for the purpose of soliciting a ride.

(C) No person shall stand in any roadway for the purpose of soliciting employment, business or contributions from the occupant of any vehicle.

(D) No person shall stand on or in proximity to a roadway for the purpose of soliciting the watching or guarding of any vehicle while parked or guarding of any vehicle while parked or about to be parked on a roadway.

(E) This section shall not apply to any public officer or employee or employee of a public utility when necessarily upon a street in the line of duty. Subchapter 12. Penalty
