It is unlawful for any person to use a skateboard, coaster, roller skates, roller blades, or any similar device upon a side walk within the boundaries of the downtown business district. For the purpose of this section, the downtown business district is defined as that area bordered on the north and south by Sixth and Second Streets, respectively, and on the east and west by Lake and Sierra Streets respectively.

Reno bans skateboards, coasters, roller skates and roller blades from roadways (crosswalks excepted) and from sidewalks inside the downtown business district: bounded by Sixth and Second Streets, and Lake and Sierra Streets. Use is also barred on any posted public property, on stairs, handrails, benches or planters, and in the Downtown Tax District and city parks between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. Parks and Recreation can further close any park area to skateboards for safety.
