Summary
St. George bans skateboards, roller skates, roller blades and go-peds on downtown historic district sidewalks and on any arterial roadway with a 40 mph or higher posted speed limit.
No person upon roller skates, roller blades, go-peds or skateboards shall go upon any sidewalk within the downtown “historic district,” as defined in section 10-13E-1, made a part hereof by reference, or upon any private or public property where prohibited by signs. (Ord. 5-5-1998, 5-21-1998)
6-3-2: ARTERIAL ROADWAYS: No person upon roller skates, roller blades, go-peds or skateboards shall go upon any arterial roadway of the city where the posted speed limit is forty (40) miles per hour or more, except while crossing such roadway in a crosswalk, and when so crossing, the person shall be subject to all of the duties applicable to pedestrians.
