Rancho Cucamonga folds its food-facility inspection and grading system into the County of San Bernardino's program rather than writing its own standards. 010, adopted by Ordinance No. , as amended, pertaining to inspection grading of food facilities is adopted by reference, notwithstanding any other provision of the Rancho Cucamonga code. That means the county's placard grading scale, inspection schedule, and enforcement standards for restaurants, food trucks, and other food establishments within city limits are administered by San Bernardino County Department of Public Health, Division of Environmental Health Services, not by city hall.

Fees for that inspection and grading work default to whatever the county board of supervisors sets under County Ordinance No. 020, unless the Rancho Cucamonga City Council has separately adopted its own fee for the same service, in which case the city-adopted fee controls instead of the county's. 12 of the municipal code, the city's general penalty chapter covering fines and jail terms for code violations.
