Rancho Cucamonga allows RV and boat parking on residential lots only behind setback lines and screened from view. Loading and unloading on the street is limited to 72 hours per Municipal Code Section 17.122.
Rancho Cucamonga Municipal Code Section 17.122 and Chapter 10.52 together regulate recreational vehicle, travel trailer, boat, and utility trailer storage on residential properties. RVs and boats must be stored behind the front setback line of the primary dwelling, on a paved or engineered all-weather surface, and screened from public view by a fence, wall, or landscaping of at least 6 feet in height. Parking an RV or boat in the front yard driveway is permitted only for active loading and unloading, typically not exceeding 72 hours at a time, and residents must avoid continuous habitation or hookups to water and sewer. On public streets, RVs and trailers fall under the 72-hour rule in California Vehicle Code 22651(k), and posted overnight restrictions apply near parks, equestrian trails, and commercial corridors. Oversized vehicles exceeding 22 feet or 80 inches in width may not park on any residential street between 2 AM and 6 AM without a special permit from RC Police.
