Section 6.505(H) requires that Chapter 17, Article IX, Section 17-254 of the noise ordinance be posted in each room offered for rent. Short-term rental guests are held to the same standards as any resident: no amplified-device disturbance across a property line from 10 PM to 7 AM, and residential sound capped at 55 dBA during the day and 50 dBA overnight at the property line. Because a local owner or representative must live on the same or an adjacent parcel, complaints reach a responsible person quickly, and repeat violations threaten the host's business license.
Guest noise violations are enforced against the property under Section 1-13, up to $500 and/or 90 days with each day separate, and repeat disturbances can cost the host their STR business license.
