Ordinance 18-114 defines a STVR as a dwelling with no more than five bedrooms for rent on the building site, and each registration limits the property to renting no more than five bedrooms at any given time. NUC notification letters require the applicant to state the number of bedrooms rented and the maximum number of guests permitted, so occupancy is fixed per property when the registration or certificate is issued.
Exceeding the bedroom or guest limits violates the STVR Standards; the Director may revoke or invalidate the registration and pursue enforcement under HCC Chapter 25.
