Safety Harbor's Land Development Code requires off-street parking for residential dwellings used as vacation rentals. Guests cannot block sidewalks, driveways, or fire lanes, and on-street parking must follow citywide rules.
Article X of the Safety Harbor Land Development Code sets minimum off-street parking requirements for residential uses, generally two spaces per single-family dwelling. Vacation rental operators must ensure guests use designated driveways and approved spaces rather than yards, sidewalks, or rights-of-way. Parking on unpaved surfaces, blocking sidewalks, or obstructing fire hydrants can trigger code enforcement and parking citations. Recreational vehicles, trailers, and boats associated with guests must comply with the city's residential RV parking restrictions in the same article.
Improperly parked vehicles may be ticketed or towed. Repeat parking violations at a vacation rental can lead to code enforcement fines through the special magistrate process.
