Full Breakdown
Mission's short-term rental ordinance requires all properties offered for stays of fewer than 30 consecutive days to hold an active city permit. Applicants must submit proof of property ownership, a completed safety self-inspection checklist, evidence of at least $500,000 in liability insurance, and designation of a local responsible party available within 60 minutes. Permits are valid for one year and must be renewed annually. The permit number must appear on all online listings. Texas state law may limit certain local regulations, but Mission maintains permitting authority in city limits.
