Investment properties, second homes, and accessory dwelling units that are not the host's primary residence are excluded. A host may register only one primary residence countywide. The Department audits randomly and on complaint; falsified residency proof voids the permit and bars reapplication for two years. Contract cities and incorporated cities apply their own ordinances.
