057, it is unlawful for anyone to throw, store, pile, deposit, erect, keep, or place, or to cause, permit, or suffer someone else to do so, any wood, coal, boxes, barrels, stone, glass, china, crockery ware, brick, lumber, dirt, merchandise, shipping cases, stands, stalls, booths, showcases, or any other obstruction of any kind upon a Rose Hill street or sidewalk, except where some other law or ordinance allows it. This sits alongside a set of companion rules in the same chapter. 055 lets police disperse any crowd or assemblage that gathers on a street or sidewalk to the inconvenience of pedestrians, and anyone who refuses an officer's warning to move violates the section.

056 separately bars merchants from displaying goods, wares, or merchandise on a public street, alley, or sidewalk, or leaving a delivery cart or wagon standing where it impedes traffic, though the Mayor may permit a temporary obstruction when reasonably necessary. 059 bars signs, sheds, awnings, or other structures from projecting over a sidewalk unless erected under the Commissioner of Streets' supervision, with cloth awnings required to clear at least eight feet and other structures at least ten feet above the sidewalk. 060 makes it unlawful to obstruct or impede travel on any town street at all, a catch-all behind the itemized bans.
