It is the duty of all property owners to maintain and repair the sidewalk, planting strip, driveway, and property within the public right-of-way or easement fronting or adjoining their property, including alleys. No person, firm or corporation may allow a public sidewalk, planting strip, driveway or public right-of-way fronting or adjoining their property to become disrepaired, weed-infested or dangerous. If sufficient funds are available, the City will schedule and pay for sidewalk repairs of damages not caused by the property owner. Within 30 days of written notice from the Deputy Director of Public Works or City Code Enforcement, the sidewalk, planting strip, driveway, or public right-of-way fronting or adjoining the property must be repaired, replanted, maintained or reconstructed by the fronting owner in conformance with this Chapter.
