Monterey Park Municipal Code § 21.08.040(K)(6) is the specific sign rule inside the city's yard sale ordinance. Only one sign is allowed per sale, and it cannot exceed six square feet. The code lists exactly where signs cannot go: no public property such as a utility pole or traffic sign, no public right-of-way, and no vehicle parked on a public street, alley or private easement. The sign rule sits inside the same subsection that limits yard sales to two per address per year, two consecutive days, and the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. under § 21.08.040(K)(1) through (3), and that requires a City Council fee-based permit under § 21.08.040(K)(7) with the permit displayed on site for the duration of the sale.
