10(D) lists the signs every property may display without securing a building permit, and paragraph (7) covers garage and yard sales specifically: a temporary sign for a garage or yard sale is allowed, but only one per premises, only up to two square feet in area, and only located on the premises where the sale is conducted. That placement limit rules out signs on a neighbor's yard, a utility pole, a street median, or other public right-of-way, since those are not the seller's own premises.
