Sec. 28-932 is a single, short rule: 'Two signs not exceeding two square feet may be located on property where a garage, yard, or estate sale is taking place, or one sign may be located on the property and one sign may located on a property where permission has been granted by the property owner. ' In practice that gives a seller two options: post both allowed signs, each capped at two square feet, on the sale property itself, or split them, one on the sale property and a second on a neighboring lot whose owner has agreed to it.

Either way, the two-sign, two-square-foot cap applies, and any additional sign, whether at the sale site or elsewhere, from a third yard sign to a placard staked in a street median or on a utility pole, is prohibited outright rather than merely limited.
