Only authorized city employees may place signs on city property. Noncommercial signs expressing opinions on any subject are protected under the First Amendment and are subject to the same time, place, and manner restrictions as campaign signs. There is no limit on the number of political signs on private property. Signs should not obstruct traffic visibility at intersections.
Signs in the public right-of-way are subject to removal by the city. Signs not removed within 10 days of the election may result in code enforcement notices.
