Barrow County, GA Sign Regulations: Window Signs (2026)

Sec. 89-788(c)(6), part of the permanent-signs-by-land-use-category section of the Unified Development Code's sign article, sets a hard percentage limit on window signage: in no case may a window sign obscure more than 25 percent of a window. 2, which caps additional window signage on commercial property at one tenant sign covering up to 25 percent of the window area, or one square foot of sign area per foot of wall length, whichever is smaller; single- and two-family residential, multi-family and agricultural properties are not allowed any additional window sign at all under that table.
