Clark County, NV Sign Regulations: Window Signs (2026)

Clark County's Title 30 defines a wall sign as any sign displayed on a building facade, 'including on a window or door,' so storefront window signs fall under the wall sign standards in the Unified Development Code's permanent sign table. That table caps window or door signs at 30% coverage of the window or door surface, on top of the general wall sign area limits (5% of the building face in residential districts, 20% elsewhere, plus 10% more for channel letters). A sign permit is required under §30.05.01.B unless the display qualifies for one of the narrow exemptions, like internal signs not visible from a right-of-way. This only reaches unincorporated Clark County, which includes the Las Vegas Strip resorts in Paradise and Winchester townships; Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Boulder City and Mesquite enforce their own municipal sign codes.
