Window signs, anything posted, painted, or hung facing a window for public view, are governed by Figure 8.9-A. No more than 30% of a set of continuous windows may carry signage, no single window panel can exceed 50% coverage, and total window signage on any facade is capped at 10%. Sign area is measured by drawing the smallest rectangle around the largest characters or graphics on the glass. Address and hours-of-operation signs are exempt from the calculation, and window signs don't count toward a building's overall site signage allowance.
