Dallas County has no 'no-knock' registry or ordinance for unincorporated areas. 'No Soliciting' signs on private property are enforceable through Texas criminal trespass law. Solicitors who ignore posted signs and refuse to leave may be charged with trespass.
No county-maintained do-not-knock registry exists in unincorporated Dallas County. Texas Penal Code Β§30.05 makes it a criminal trespass to enter or remain on property when the owner has given notice (including written signs). A 'No Soliciting' or 'No Trespassing' sign constitutes effective notice. If a solicitor ignores the sign, the property owner should ask them to leave. If they refuse, it becomes criminal trespass (Class C misdemeanor, Class B if carrying a weapon). Religious proselytizing and political canvassing have some First Amendment protections but solicitors must leave when asked.
Criminal trespass: Class C misdemeanor (fine up to $500). With weapon: Class B misdemeanor (up to 180 days jail, $2,000 fine).
