Grand Prairie's solicitation ordinance (Ch. 20) requires solicitors to respect no-solicitation signs. Soliciting at residences displaying 'No Soliciting' signs is prohibited. Violations enforceable by police.
Grand Prairie's peddler and solicitor ordinance (Chapter 20) requires door-to-door solicitors to respect no-solicitation signage displayed at residences. Soliciting at a residence that clearly displays a 'No Soliciting' or 'No Trespassing' sign is a violation of the ordinance. Solicitors must immediately leave any property when asked to do so by the occupant. Texas Penal Code Section 30.05 (Criminal Trespass) also applies when a person enters or remains on property after being given notice not to enter, including through signage. Residents can report unwanted solicitors to the Grand Prairie Police Department's non-emergency line.
Ignoring no-solicitation signs: violation of Ch. 20. Criminal trespass (TX Penal Code Β§30.05) if refusing to leave. Fine up to $500.
