Clark County Code Chapter 6.56 (Peddlers, Solicitors, and Temporary Merchants) requires anyone soliciting door-to-door in unincorporated Clark County to hold a county-issued Peddler/Solicitor license and to carry/display it on request.
Clark County Title 6 (Business Licenses) Chapter 6.56 regulates peddlers, solicitors, and temporary merchants. §6.56.010 defines the categories; §6.56.030 sets license requirements. Any representative of a soliciting company doing door-to-door sales in unincorporated Clark County must carry a county-issued Peddler/Solicitor license OR a copy of the company's Clark County Business License. The license must be displayed on request of any person. Peddlers selling on private property must have written permission from the owner. Door-to-door religious or political canvassing is generally protected as First Amendment activity and does not require a peddler license, but charitable solicitations registered under NRS Chapter 82A are required to register with the Nevada Secretary of State. Residents who do not want solicitations can post a 'No Soliciting' sign — once posted, knocking despite the sign is a separate violation under CCC §6.56.
Misdemeanor under §1.08.010 — up to $1,000 / 6 months. Unlicensed soliciting is also subject to immediate cease-and-desist by LVMPD. Repeat violators may have the company's overall Clark County Business License revoked under §6.04.
