No person shall peddle or solicit in the City without first obtaining and thereafter maintaining: (1) A valid, unexpired peddler/solicitor permit or agent solicitation permit issued pursuant to this Chapter; and (2) A valid, unexpired work card issued pursuant to LVMC Chapter 6.86. (B) No principal of a business shall authorize or permit an agent to peddle or solicit on behalf of the business unless the agent has obtained and maintains a valid, unexpired work card and an agent solicitation permit. ... As a condition of obtaining and maintaining a peddler/solicitor permit pursuant to this Chapter, the permittee must file with the Department and maintain a surety bond for each permit in the sum of five thousand dollars. ... Each holder of a peddler/solicitor permit shall pay in advance a permit fee of fifty dollars per week for each peddler or solicitor, or one hundred fifty dollars per month for permits issued on a monthly or thirty-day basis.

Violations & Fines
Peddling or soliciting without both the required permit and work card, or violating any Chapter 6.62 condition, is punishable under the Title 1 general penalty, LVMC 1.24.010: a fine up to $1,000, up to six months in jail, or both, with each day a separate offense under 1.24.020. The Director can also deny, suspend or revoke the permit for cause under 6.62.060.
