Full Breakdown
Clark County Code § 6.56.030 makes it unlawful to peddle, solicit or canvass door-to-door in the unincorporated county without first obtaining a business license from the Director of Business License. Applicants pay a $2,000 surety bond (§ 6.56.070) and undergo an LVMPD background check (§ 6.56.050), then must carry a photo ID card at all times while working (§ 6.56.110). License fees are tiered by gross sales, from $2 a day for small operators up to $750 per quarter. A posted 'No Solicitors' sign at the entrance legally bars entry under § 6.56.116, even for licensed solicitors, unless the resident specifically invites them in.
Violations & Fines
Operating as a peddler, solicitor or canvasser without a Clark County business license, or without a required identification card, is a licensing violation the Director of Business License can prosecute or use to revoke the license under Chapter 6.56.
