Largo, FL Special Events & Permits: Parade Permits (2026)

Section 16-99(a) of the Largo Code of Ordinances bars any procession or parade from occupying, marching or proceeding along a street or roadway without a permit issued by the Engineering Services Division, subject also to the traffic rules in Florida Statutes Chapter 316. The only exemptions are forces of the United States armed services, the military forces of the state, and city police or fire department units. The same subsection also reaches sound trucks: no vehicle equipped with an amplifier or loudspeaker may be driven on a city street to sell, offer for sale or advertise anything without an Engineering Services Division permit.

Subsection (b) extends the permit requirement to oversized or overweight vehicles and equipment, which cannot be driven or occupy a street without a permit and compliance with the city code or Chapter 316, Florida Statutes.
