Eastvale, CA Special Events & Permits: Park Event Permits (2026)

Sec. 010 puts the parks and recreation director in charge of scheduling park use and lets the director set rules on which areas and amenities are reservable, maximum occupancy, and cleaning policies. A person or group must file a reservation request on city forms no less than 30 days and no more than 180 days before the requested date, though the director can allow a shorter window for good cause; requesters from within Eastvale get priority over outside groups when a scheduling conflict arises. The director grants a reservation only if satisfied it won't unreasonably interfere with other park users or disturb the surrounding neighborhood's peace, can attach conditions, and must give written grounds for any denial, though director decisions on reservations are not appealable.

Sec. 020 separately requires a temporary event permit under Sec. 050(7) for any special event in a park, barring anyone from advertising, conducting, operating, or holding one without approval; the city and the applicant must also sign a use agreement before a park special-event permit issues. The city council sets reservation and special-event fee schedules by resolution rather than fixing them in the code itself. A special event permit is also what unlocks activities otherwise barred under Sec. 020, including alcohol possession, amplified sound, vendor sales, and off-leash dogs, but only within that permit's specific terms.
