Waynesville, MO Special Events & Permits: Park Event Permits (2026)

Waynesville's Park Board oversees Roubidoux and Laughlin Park facilities under Chapter 150 of the Waynesville Municipal Code, and Section 150.055 sets the rules for reserving the Park Stage inside Waynesville Roubidoux Park. Any person or organization that wants to use the Stage facility, for a wedding, concert, church gathering or any other event, must first execute a Park Stage Rental Agreement with the city. Renting the Stage alone costs $50.00 per day plus a $25.00 refundable deposit; adding the city's PA System raises the cost to $100.00 per day plus a $50.00 refundable deposit.

Both deposits are returned only once the renter hands the Stage key back to City Hall immediately after the rental period ends; if City Hall is already closed, the key must be dropped off by the close of the next business day or the deposit is forfeited outright. The agreement also makes the renter personally liable for any damage caused to the Stage or to the city's PA equipment while it is checked out, so groups bringing sound crews or staging additions take on that risk directly.

Section 150.055 was adopted by Ordinance No. 2171 on September 17, 2015, and applies specifically to Stage bookings rather than casual park visits. The City Administrator, with the Mayor's sign-off, can negotiate a different fee for special-interest groups and nonprofit organizations on a case-by-case basis, so a nonprofit festival committee should ask City Hall about a reduced rate before assuming the standard fee applies. The section sets no separate insurance requirement of its own, unlike the city's broader special-event permit process in Chapter 160.
