Denver, CO Special Events & Permits: Street Fair Rules (2026)

DRMC § 49-576 lets the manager of transportation and infrastructure issue a permit for a vendor to occupy the public right-of-way outside the roadway to sell goods at a street fair, festival, or similar event, but only when the manager judges it in the public interest, making issuance discretionary. Under § 49-577, applications must give the applicant's name and address, describe the goods for sale (with particular reference to food and drink), and state the event's time period and location. Food or drink sales bring in the manager of public health and environment, and beer, wine, or liquor sales require sign-off from the director of excise and licenses.
