Wichita, KS Special Events & Permits: Street Fair Rules (2026)

A community event permit shall operate as an umbrella permit and shall include all vendors participating in the event and any tent or other temporary structure used as a part of the event when the event promoter complies with the requirements of subsections (e), (f) and (g), as applicable.(e)For all vendors participating in the event who would otherwise be required to obtain a separate transient merchant license pursuant to Chapter 3.95 of this code and any amendments thereto, the event promoter shall be responsible for providing all information that is required by Section 3.11.062 of this code and amendments thereto and must pay all fees as required by Section 3.95.050 of this code.(f)For any tent or other temporary structure to be used as a part of the event and for which a permit is required by Section 15.01.090 of this code and any amendments thereto, the event promoter shall be responsible for providing any information and must pay all fees as required by Section 15.01.090.(g)All information and fees as required in subsections (e) and (f) herein must be submitted with the permit application as set forth in Section 3.11.062 of this code and amendments thereto.
