The Borough's solid waste regulations restrict when containers may appear at curbside. Materials may not be placed for collection earlier than 6:00 PM the evening before the scheduled pickup day, and must be at the curb no later than 6:00 AM on collection day. After collection, empty containers must be removed promptly to maintain neighborhood appearance and avoid property maintenance violations. The Health Officer, Code Enforcement Officer, and Borough Sanitarian enforce these placement standards along with general property maintenance rules under Chapter 169.
Setting out trash too early or leaving empty containers at the curb may result in property maintenance violation notices and fines.
