Per Plant City Solid Waste guidelines, residential carts must be positioned at the curb edge (not in street) with wheels against the curb and lid opening toward the house. Minimum 3-foot clearance required from mailboxes, parked vehicles, utility poles, trees, other carts, and obstructions to allow automated truck arm access. Carts must be removed from the curb and stored out of public view from the street within 24 hours after collection. Storage in front yards is prohibited between collection days. Overfilled carts with lids that will not close may be refused.
