Coral Springs offers once-weekly bulk waste collection for residential properties through its contract with Coastal Waste & Recycling. The standard bulk service encompasses up to 6 cubic yards per residence per pickup, which includes a maximum of 2 cubic yards of construction and demolition (C&D) debris. Residents are allowed three oversized piles of yard and bulk waste annually within the fiscal year (July 1 through June 30). Beginning with the fourth oversized pile and all subsequent piles, pickup is limited to 6 cubic yards and an overage fee of $15 per yard applies. Vegetative materials placed curbside must be prepared and bundled β branches and limbs may not exceed 5 feet in length and 8 inches in diameter. Individual stumps may not exceed 50 pounds. Prohibited items that cannot be collected curbside include paint, fertilizer, fluorescent light bulbs, electronics (with batteries removed), and other household hazardous waste (HHW). HHW may be disposed of at the Coral Springs Waste Transfer Station at 2400 N. Powerline Road on the first weekend of each month. White goods (appliances with refrigerant) require scheduling through Coastal Waste for special pickup.
Placing prohibited hazardous items at the curb is a violation subject to code citation. Illegal dumping of bulk waste is a criminal offense under Florida law. Overage fees of $15/yard apply after three oversized pickups per fiscal year.
