Full Breakdown
Under Henderson Municipal Code § 5.17.110, the franchisee runs bulky item collection every other week on your regular solid waste day for anything too big for the wheeled carts. Small bulky items go in a container of 36 gallons or less that weighs no more than 50 pounds with contents. Heavier pieces like appliances go loose next to the cart or at curbside that same day. Refrigerators and other Freon-containing appliances are excluded and must go to the Henderson Transfer Station or another authorized drop-off point instead. Tree trimmings, palm fronds and scrap lumber can be bundled and set at curbside on a scheduled bulky item day if tied securely, under six feet long, and under 50 pounds per § 5.17.130.
Violations & Fines
Illegal dumping or curbside placement outside the rules can draw a misdemeanor citation under § 5.04.070, plus city cost-recovery for cleanup of dumped litter under § 5.04.050.
