Section 22-11 sets the baseline service level for Macon-Bibb County's solid waste program. Subsection (a) guarantees every residential and commercial user of the county's collection service at least one garbage pickup per week, one single-stream recycling pickup every two weeks, and yard waste collection on the same two-week cycle, unless the solid waste director decides a particular area needs more frequent yard waste service. Subsection (b) lets uncontainerized yard waste, meaning loose piles too big for a cart, be picked up on the regular county route or by calling in a special request.

Subsection (c) gives the director of solid waste authority to temporarily change how often, or by what method, garbage gets collected in a specified area, but caps that change at 90 days before the normal schedule has to resume.
